The UCM University of Spain will issue certificates in metaverse and Virtual Reality

The Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) partnered with the Apple Coding Academy to  issue  certificates on  metaverse , Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, and even a mixed reality training program. The announcement follows the recent launch of the Apple Vision Pro.

With the agreement, the UCM will be one of the first Spanish universities specialized in augmented and virtual reality and the metaverse of iOS and Apple. Students will be able to develop content for the new Apple Vision Pro platform. The university and the Apple Coding Academy will jointly disseminate mixed reality content.

In this regard, the director of the master's degree Metaverso, Virtual and Augmented Reality at UCM, Cristóbal Fernández Muñoz, explained:

“This milestone means consolidating the position of the UCM as the first University with a training offer in our language in the field of emerging virtual and augmented reality technologies, including the latest market developments, such as the launch of the company's new device American technology."

 

Complutense students will have access to specialized information in Apple Vision Pro. Experts from the Apple Coding Academy and Virtual Voyagers Academy will train students on the development of specialized content that can be applied to extended reality.

Apple Coding scholar Julio César Martínez said so  following  to Madrid Press:

“The synergy between the experience of Virtual Voyagers as pioneers in AR/VR training and Apple Coding Academy as evangelizers of native development and specialized in Apple environments, will create a unique union that will benefit the students of both educational initiatives, achieving the best of each of these experiences and take their training beyond the limits of this new vision”.

 

For his part, Julio César Martínez, director of Apple Coding,  explained   to the newspaper El País:

"Apple will create a unique union that will benefit the students of both educational initiatives, getting the best of each of these experiences and taking their training beyond the limits of this new vision."

 

The Complutense University has integrated AI and metaverse into its study programs

It is not the first time that the UCM integrates the latest technologies in its academic training.  In April , the School of Legal Practice of the Complutense University of Madrid held the webinar "The Law in the metaverse: what already exists and what is missing", where it analyzed legal systems in the metaverse, in force in the midst of an immersive and interactive.

In the same month,  announced  the inauguration of its new AI cell, which was born as a result of the need to study the challenges and opportunities that the world of artificial intelligence brings to the academic world and to Spanish society.
