Colombia has gone on to have its own metaverse inspired exclusively by Comuna 13 of the city of Medellín.

The metaverse Comuna 13 was developed by 75 local professionals, including engineers, programmers of video games , 3D modelers and graphic designers, using the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, the same one used to create most AAA video games.
Over several months, they photographed and detailed every block, every graffiti and business, then modeled it in 3D. Also, every time the graffiti is changed in the physical zone, it is also updated in the metaverse.
