Augmented Intelligence, Metaverse-based Aviation Maintenance Cooperation with Canadian GS5
Augmented Intelligence (AK) announced on the 18th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with GS5, a Canadian aviation maintenance training company, for mutual cooperation to solve the global aviation maintenance manpower shortage problem using augmented reality (AR).
Boyd Parsons, founder and chief operating officer of GS5, and W. Scott Simpson, president of ARGO Consulting Canada, visited AK located in Incheon and held a signing ceremony with Augmented Intelligence CEO Keun-Sik Cho. Through the MOU, the two companies plan to jointly seek innovative solutions to the problem of the shortage of aviation maintenance technicians in the United States and Canada.

AK currently has a digital twin of the Boeing 737-800NG, which is the most used aircraft type in the world. Through the aviation metabus, the aircraft manual is automatically provided at the level of guidance of the navigation system, and remote training is possible while viewing air parts at the training site in the cloud method. Boeing B737MAX and Airbus A320 models are also expected to be developed and serviced on the AK platform within this year.
AK secures a major foothold in the North American market through cooperation with GS5, and GS5 solves the shortage of aviation maintenance manpower in the post-corona global market through AK's aircraft metaverse with support from the Canadian government and private companies related to military aviation maintenance strategy to do it.
