SKT Opens 'If Home', My Own Space in the Metaverse

 

SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) announced on the 3rd that it introduced 'If Home', a personal space service that allows users to decorate their own space and leave daily records in the metabus service 'ifland'.

 

'If Home' is a personalized 3D space service introduced by SK Telecom to strengthen social network activities in the metaverse world. You can connect to the newly updated 'ifland' and select one of each of the four terrains and six buildings to create a total of 24 combinations.

 

The interior of the created 'If Home' can be decorated with not only basic items necessary for home decoration, such as wallpaper, floors, furniture, and home appliances, but also more than 400 various items such as flower pots and letter balloons that allow users to show off their personalities and tastes. there is.

 

It also provides a posting function to leave personal interests, experiences, and activities in the form of text, photos, and videos. The posts are displayed in the form of a huge 3D ball in Ifhome, which can be rotated or displayed in a framed form on the wall. Posts written can be viewed by visitors and mutual communication is possible.

 

In addition to simply decorating 'If Home', play items are provided so that you can enjoy the metaverse world with friends or alone. Karaoke items are placed so you can sing yourself, and you can compare scores with friends. Special items are also provided at 'If Home' for proven companies and celebrities.

 

In particular, the volumetric function will provide a new pleasure to meet celebrities stored in 3D up close. The first celebrity to be introduced is Faker Lee Sang-hyeok, and SK Telecom plans to continuously increase volumetric celebrities.

 

SK Telecom will increase the number of terrains and buildings that can be selected within this year to up to 20, and more than double the number of decorating items from the current 400 types.

 

An economic system will also be introduced within the year. SK Telecom plans to introduce an economic system to 3D content or functional items, and is considering applying the economic system to purchasing rare NFT items worth owning or sponsoring a specific meeting host.

 

In particular, if Home is operated without distinction between Korean and global versions, unlike the existing Ifland, which is provided in two versions, Korean and global. Ifland users from other countries can also visit Korean users' 'ifhome'.

 

SK Telecom has newly added German to the existing Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) languages that can be used in Ifland for overseas users.

 

SK Telecom also changes the existing 'Land' to 'If Square' and provides it. It is a space that can accommodate up to 131 people. Unlike 'If Home', which is a small space like a town house, it is a large square, so it can be selected according to the necessary circumstances such as large-scale lectures or events.
