LG Household & Health Care launches 'social contribution activities' using metabus... Digital ESG promotion

LG Household & Health Care announced on the 29th that it would open a metabus platform called 'Borrowed Earth World' to instill the right awareness needed to respond to climate change in teenagers. Borrowed Earth World was created based on the metabus platform 'Ditorland'. By connecting the real world with the virtual world, it is evaluated that LG Household & Health Care has achieved evolution in the 'digital ESG management' pursued.

When accessing Borrowed Earth World through the D-Toland website, a virtual earth 50 years later, where environmental pollution is severe, unfolds before your eyes, and activities for the 'Operation to Escape the Climate Crisis' are carried out. After that, you can create an avatar and carry out missions.

In this process, teenagers learn essential lifestyle habits that must be acquired in daily life, such as separate garbage disposal, hand washing, face washing, brushing teeth, and washing hair, and solve environmental problems in each city. Every time you complete a mission, you get a badge, and a visual effect was introduced that increases the 'Clean Earth's Atmosphere' in the upper right corner of the screen according to the score.

LG Household & Health Care plans to introduce Borrowed Earth World to middle school classes, which lacked offline class opportunities, and raise interest in environmental issues among teenagers.

An ESG manager at LG Household & Health Care said, “We can overcome the limitations of region and distance with virtual space and actively respond to environmental problems through games. We will actively develop ESG management activities using the metaverse to increase the participation and immersion of our future customers, youths, in order to practice sustainable customer value creation.”

Following this, LG Household & Health Care also resumed the 'Borrowed Earth School' (hereinafter referred to as Bill's G) classes, which had settled as a middle school free year program, at the school site after 3 years. In the aftermath of Corona 19, I continued to lecture on YouTube, and recently started on-site classes again due to the quarantine mitigation policy.

Launched in 2013, Bill's G is an educational program that improves basic living habits that "everyone knows how to do but has never learned" and considers the dreams and careers of teenagers together. So far, 72,615 students from 410 schools have participated.
