Women's Day: 11 women who set trends on the Spanish-speaking Web3

 

In the past year, the  Web 3.0  has been fully consolidated  bear market   for the takeoff of innovative projects promoted and led by women, who disseminate, train, create crypto art and direct the  exchange   largest crypto in Spanish-speaking. This year, BeInCrypto honors key players in the crypto ecosystem who are accelerating the adoption of new technologies.

In addition, they promoted projects with  non-fungible tokens  ( NFT ) and  metaverse , both of which sought to democratize Web 3.0 and push for greater inclusion.

 

 

However, inclusion challenges remain, as Boston Consulting Group demonstrated a few days ago,  who showed  that there is a more than evident gender gap in the   Web 3.0 startups , where only 13% of the founding teams include a woman, which shows that the ecosystem seems innovative, but lacks equity and inclusion.

 

Therefore, this day is a reminder that greater gender equality is necessary for any project or social initiative to be sustainable in the present and in the future. BeInCrypto highlights the contribution and importance of the following representatives, who build from their trenches in: education,  blockchain Web 3.0, crypto art, investments, and financial inclusion.

 

Rocío Álvarez-Ossorio – CMO Token City

 

Dew  He began his professional career in London, as part of the M&A area in banking at companies such as the international consultancy Deloitte and E&Y. After completing his MBA he started and launched the family firm Alvarez-Ossorio Abogados in  SpainLatam  and China, specialized in  startups,  foreign investment and internationalization.

 

Named Woman of Reference in the  Entrepreneurship  Innovative by the High Commissioner of the Government of Spain. She was named Top 100 Investors by El Referente.

 

She has a degree in economic law from the University of Navarra and a Master's degree from ICADE and an MBA from IESE Business School. She is a Partner and head of the Crypto-Assets Commission at Women in a Legal World (WLW) and a mentor in different incubator and accelerator projects such as the Zakut Innovation Hub between Spain and Israel.

 

For now, it is entirely focused on Token City, which functions as a leading provider of tokenization of financial assets in the world. Its services are flexible and allow companies anywhere in the world to issue and manage digital assets, being able to create their own tokenized primary markets of  security tokens .

 

It is currently creating the regulated secondary markets of  security  tokens in  Europe  (being in the  financial sandbox  of the CNMV and Bank of Spain to obtain the license) and in Switzerland.

 

Victoria Gago – Founder of the European Blockchain Convention

 

Victoria is CEO and co-founder of the European Blockchain Convention,  conference   blockchain  with more influence in Europe, which brings together 200 speakers in 2,000 square meters and 2,500 attendees on average. The forum brings together the main speakers of crypto and Web 3.0 projects.

 

She is a co-founder of the European Tech School, the first technology-focused online school  blockchain  and Web 3.0 of its kind. It was created to disrupt the way you learn about disruptive technologies by offering immersive learning experiences to interested people.

 

In addition, she was a tutor at the Blockchain Founders Group (BFG), director of the Master in Blockchain & Crypto at Three Points The School for Digital Business. In  recent interview  with BeInCrypto, Victoria Gago pointed out that the ups and downs of  crypto market  has nothing to do with the state of health of the Web 3.0 industry.

 

“Due to the threat of recession: it's clear that VC money is down, however it's still a lot of money. Large companies Nike, Starbucks, Amazon... are either doing or will do something with this industry since it is making a lot of benefits. Brands already know that income from NFTs or similar services is not tied to the price of  Bitcoin ”.

 

Amaranta Martínez – NFT Artist / Superama

 

Amaranta  is an award-winning designer , illustrator, and art director with a passion for brand identity, art direction, murals, animation, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). She has experience in public art, fashion, digital platforms and has directed creative campaigns that connect people with brands.

 

She was senior art director at Nickelodeon in original productions for two years, art director, producer and designer at the American entertainment company. Previously, Amaranta Martínez, also known as “ SUPERAMA ”,  admitted to  BeInCrypto being a lover of Web 3.0 technology, which has allowed him to exhibit his work in different cities in the United States and in the metaverse.

 

“I have always been a very curious person and a lover of technology. That is what drives me to explore and turn my art into NFTs. Seeing the amount of possibilities and the support of the Web 3.0 community made me completely immersed this past year. Bárbara González Briseño – CEO of Bitso in Mexico

 

Barbara has been in charge of Bitso since June 2022 and was previously  Chief Financial Officer  (CFO) for about 5 years, where he led the financial efforts of the Mexican unicorn and one of the  exchanges   crypto with more presence in  Latin America . Prior to becoming CEO, he managed accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, fundraising efforts, among other tasks.

 

Barbara she has an MBA  from Harvard Business School and a Finance degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana de México. Prior to Bitso, he worked in investment banking at Lazard, where he led capital markets transactions. Upon assuming the leadership of Bitso, he took responsibility for accelerating crypto adoption, implementing  actions  that increase financial inclusion, lead the launch of new products and advance in the transformation of the sector and make the ecosystem more useful.

 

Upon becoming CEO of Bitso in Mexico, Bárbara  pointed out  the following to Axis Negocios:

 

“One of the advantages that my position at Bitso has given me is that it gives me a huge platform to generate change and build a company where women can interact, as well as influence the crypto, FinTech and entrepreneurial ecosystem. What we have to do is redouble our efforts to continue building and increasingly offer more products and services”.

 

Bitso's most recent milestone was  launch its  debit card in Mexico in partnership with Mastercard, which allows users to use their balance in pesos to buy in any type of physical business, or in electronic commerce, in mobile applications or digital subscriptions. During the launch, Bárbara emphasized that users have found in Bitso a platform with “less friction and less commission charges”.

 

Cryptocurious – Education community of  Web3

 

It's a  community of  entrepreneurs that seeks to educate women about Web 3.0. Under the legend "we empower, inspire, facilitate access and ensure a place", the Criptocuriosas collective puts social issues and their relationship with technology on the table.

 

Criptocuriosas was born in the first half of 2022 and currently has a community of 2,120 people on Twitter and 909 people on  Instagram . They clarify that they seek to educate other women in Web 3.0 and seek to: empower them, inspire them, provide them with easy access and ensure their place in the ecosystem. To do this, it has a powerful slogan: "It's you, me and everyone."

Mar Abascal – Founder and CEO of NFashionT

 

Mar is the founder and CEO of NFashionT, a  dApp  to promote  y sell NFTs  originals and other crypto collectibles from major fashion and luxury brands. The company is led by women and its main products are e-commerce of original NFTs, metaverse for exhibitions, creative laboratory and a  DAO  with which it seeks to finance new designers and artists around the world.

 

Mar Abascal  she has more than  22 years of experience in the fashion industry and is president of Proyecta Lab, an agency specialized in communication strategies,  marketing   and production of  events  for international fashion and lifestyle brands. She has a law degree from ITAM Mexico and a Master's in Corporate and Advertising Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid.

 

She was director of communication and  booking  of View Management in Spain and from 2006 to 2014 she worked at Conde Nast México y Latinoamérica as associate editor of Vogue and was later promoted to editorial director of Glamor México & Latinoamérica, becoming the youngest editor in the history of Conde Nast.

 

Subsequently, Mar Abascal was  Group Publisher  of Editorial Televisa for 4 years for iconic women's magazines in Mexico such as: Vanidades, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, Caras, Grazia, which consolidated themselves in the fashion market and before international brands.

 

Connie Ansaldi – Founder of  marketplace  Carnival

Connie is the founder of the  marketplace  NFT from Argentina, Carnaval, which was born last year and since then has been highly selected by Ibero-American artists in the  blockchain  of Bitcoin. Carnival is mounted on a  sidechain  on the BTC network and the platform was officially launched at the Bitcoin Conference in Miami 2022.

 

The launch of Carnival  generated a   boom  of NFTs in Argentina, since it succeeded in creating an Ibero-American community of non-fungible tokens, which provides utility as a space for the dissemination of artistic works. The project arose from an alliance with Rootstock, world leader in the  software  ERP with open source and that is supported in  blockchain.

 

Connie  is licensed in  Advertising  from the University of Business and Social Sciences and has a postgraduate degree in Family Business from the IAE Business School. It was  speaker, influencer & personal branding expert  in 40+ League, she was director for Latin America of Neu21 and CEO of Nuclear Branding.

 

The Carnaval founder defines herself as a "serial entrepreneur" as she also runs a consulting agency and represents Australia's number one organizational design studio. Monica is a seasoned communications professional and entrepreneur in the decentralized world. She is the founder of CryptoConexion, a Web 3.0 educational platform, created by 50 enthusiastic experts of the  cryptocurrencies , technology  blockchain  and decentralized innovation.

Currently, Monica  She is a certified personal finance advisor , entrepreneur and investor in FinTech, international speaker and until a few months ago she was director of Technology and Business Innovation, InestSV of the Government of El Salvador, in the period in which the country adopted Bitcoin (BTC) as legal tender.

 

Monica is a benchmark for Bitcoin in Latin America and her leadership has been maintained over the years, as she is constantly mentioned in the  ranking  of the most influential women.
