The project "The first digital document in transport in NFT format" was highly appreciated

The project "The first digital document in transport in the NFT format", aimed at promoting electronic transportation documents, became the winner of the XVIII RuPoR Public Relations Development Award in the "Promotion of state and public programs" nomination.

The strategic goal of the project was to popularize electronic transportation documents among the participants in cargo transportation, as well as draw attention to the state system of electronic transportation documents (GIS EPD), which was launched on September 1, 2022.

The key element of the project was the presentation of the first electronic document on transport in the NFT format to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the International Forum "Transport of Russia".

Currently, the transition to work with electronic transportation documents in GIS  EPD is carried out on a voluntary basis. Participants in the transportation process working on motor vehicles - the most massive segment of the transportation market - through EPD IS operators accredited by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, can issue an electronic consignment note, an electronic accompanying sheet and an electronic work order. For those who have switched to digital, documents are checked on the road by presenting a dynamic QR code to the traffic police and Rostransnadzor, which is created based on data from the system.

It was the QR code of the first electronic document in transport that was presented to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in the NFT format (non-fungible token) containing a video. This is a unique digital certificate that is stored on the blockchain and guarantees the originality of the item. The NFT is hosted on the OpenSea website.

“The conversion of transportation documents into digital is a large-scale project, significant not only for the state, but also for business, because the GIS EPD allows transport and logistics companies to rebuild business processes, speed up and simplify mutual settlements. We tried to "package" our communication project following the latest digital trends and therefore chose the NFT format. We sought not only to draw attention to it, but also to reflect the mission of our association, and we are glad that our idea was highly appreciated by the jury ,” commented Polina Davydova, Executive Director of the Digital Transport and Logistics Association.
