Santos and Flamengo fan tokens are among the top 15

The fan tokens of the Santos and Flamengo clubs are among the 15 largest in global volume, according to a study by CoinGecko, which points out that the trading volume of the two assets exceeds 1 billion dollars.

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar approaching, many traders looked to fan tokens.

Assets allow club fans to make suggestions to managers. Thus, fans can get closer to the reality of their football teams.

In Brazil, several clubs already have fan tokens created, such as Palmeiras, Internacional, Fluminense, Corinthians, Flamengo and others.

Fan tokens from Santos and Flamengo clubs are among the largest in the world

In a study revealed by CoinGecko this Monday (14), the fan token market remains heated, regardless of the general drop in the cryptocurrency market.

Data collected between October 1st and 31st show that the average volume of transactions continues to attract attention.

The biggest club in the world to have its fan token traded is Santos. Out of Libertadores 2023 and without titles in 2022, the Praiano alvinegro had US$ 17.3 million traded.

The $SANTOS token also has the highest market cap among fan tokens, reaching US$1.7 billion at the end of October, the study highlighted.

Another Brazilian club that appears in the TOP 15 ranking is Flamengo, which unlike Santos had a good season. Ranked 13th among fan token trading volume, $MENGO recorded an average daily volume of $839k.

Both Brazilian clubs stand out in fan token trading, as many European clubs had less volume in October. Brazilian football shows that it remains represented in the cryptocurrency sector.

Argentina's national team has the highest volume

According to data from CoinGecko, which removed suspicious volumes from the calculation, the World Cup in Qatar did not increase the volume of fan tokens of national teams.

The proof is that only the fan token of the Argentina National Team (AFA) is among the 15 largest global volumes.

"Of the top 15 football fan tokens, only one belongs to a national team participating in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup – the Argentine Football Association (AFA). Even so, it has a rather low rating, coming in at 12. #1 with $920,000 in daily trading volume."

 

Finally, the highest representation was for clubs from the Italian Football Championship, with 6 clubs represented among the 15 largest daily trading volumes of fan tokens.
