NFT platform Dapper allowed the withdrawal of assets to Russian users

Russian collectors can now transfer NFT NBA Top Shot, NFL ALL DAY and UFC Strike from their Dapper wallet to their Blocto wallet.

The Dapper team reported that payment processing and storage partner Circle called for action against users who were blocked on October 6 after EU authorities imposed sanctions on Russian citizens:

“We are working to provide support to the maximum extent permitted by law, as well as identify solutions for the Asset Owner account. This includes building alternative NFT storage solutions to give our customers the ability to transfer their tokens off the Dapper platform.”

The platform team added that it will allow users to withdraw NFTs from their Dapper wallet to their Blocto wallet as of October 17th. The company drew the attention of users that after the first connection of the Blocto wallet, a 24-hour waiting period is required before withdrawing assets. The team explained that this is an additional measure to ensure the safety of members of the Dapper community.  

Dapper Labs, which is behind one of the most popular NBA gaming platforms Top Shot and the Flow blockchain, has supported sanctions that prohibit the provision of cryptocurrency wallet and asset storage services for Russian citizens. Recently, the Cryptopay service decided to support European sanctions - from October 21, users from the Russian Federation will not be able to withdraw cryptocurrency assets from this site. Earlier, the Crypto.com company announced the blocking of accounts, which banned citizens of the Russian Federation from using the company's services. Cryptocurrency service Blockchain.com sent a notification to Russian users about the upcoming blocking of accounts and offered to withdraw funds by October 27.
