The first metaverse of the Dominican Republic wins the UNWTO award
Nolim Studios, a Dominican company, has been awarded for its educational innovation in the field of tourism with its “Domiland” project, which is the first metaverse from the Dominican Republic.
During the regional challenge called "Education for the Future", which focused on innovation and educational digitization through the tourism sector, Nolim Studios obtained the regional award in the "New Technologies" category. More than 100 projects participated in this competition.
Both Ymanol Martínez, CEO of Nolim Studios, and Yismel Duvergé, Director of Operations, spoke to the local media the new newspaper , which “Domiland” will be launched this year and is not only an educational resource, but also an entertainment platform.

“ Domiland ”, the First Metaverse in the Dominican Republic, is based on a mobile application currently under development by Nolim Studios. Its main objective is to recreate the entire country within the metaverse, starting with tourist areas such as the Colonial Zone and the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration in Santiago.

Nolim Studios is a micro company specialized in the development of interactive simulations and videogames . Last year they won second place in the competition “Hack'n Jam” in Mexico. This thanks to their augmented reality mobile application called “Conoce RD”. Which allows users to explore and discover monuments of the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican metaverse receives an award from the UNWTO
The challenge was raised by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Save the Children Dominican Republic.
