Sber will bring together start-up entrepreneurs in the metaverse
Sberbank is launching the first educational project of KoMet in Russia for start-up entrepreneurs in the metaverse.
The virtual space is created for aspiring entrepreneurs and teenagers aged 12 and over who are interested in technological trends, science or topics of personal effectiveness and soft skills development. It will regularly host inspiring lectures by famous businessmen, business games, networking sessions, music concerts, and a library of video content. It is planned that more than 35,000 unique users will visit the 3D space by the end of the year.
In addition to watching lectures and concerts, visitors to Komet will be able to create their own digital avatars, communicate with other users, complete quests in five connected spaces, and receive gifts from Sberbank and partner companies.
Anyone can get into KoMeta: connection is possible both from a mobile device and from a personal computer, it does not require downloading applications and registration. The functionality of the site and formats of working with it will be constantly updated based on the wishes of its users, the space will be supplemented with new content and will become a virtual meeting place for the youth startup community.
“According to a survey that Sber conducted at the beginning of the year, schoolchildren and students name one of the obstacles to starting their own business is the lack of information on how to take the first step, entrepreneurship seems unattainably difficult to them. But in the current environment of rapidly evolving technologies and available resources, starting your own technology startup is simple - perhaps more than ever. Therefore, Cometa appeared - a place for cooperation and teamwork, where children can learn and develop soft skills in a game format. Our goal is to captivate as many young people as possible with the topic of business and technology, and the metaverse format is perfect for this,” says Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.
The virtual space is Sber's own development and is being implemented during the decade of science and technology being held in Russia.
