Startup Invests to Bring Football Teams to the NFT and Metaverse

 

Founded in 2020, the startup Smart Fans will invest BRL 2 million in technology, with an eye on the main football clubs in the world. The company specializes in creating monetization solutions to increase public engagement in the virtual universe, through technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, NFT and metaverse.

 

The idea, according to Luiz Carlos Correa, CEO of the company, is to expand and develop interaction tools between brands and the public. “Among them are quiz experiences, music, promotions and holograms. All this in a very accessible way even by the simplest cell phones”, he exemplifies.

 

He also recalls that he will partner with Finnish startups to exchange technologies. With the expectation of growing in Europe and the USA, Smart Fans has Santos Futebol Clube among its clients and, throughout this year, it will launch a project with Flamengo. Recently, the company signed its first international contract, with the club Atlético San Luis, from Mexico, which belongs to Atlético de Madrid.
