Hoseo University holds the NFT Campus Forum “We will seek to establish infrastructure and create value”

Hoseo University held the 1st NFT (Non-Fungible Token) Campus Forum on the 29th with the theme of 'Meeting Experts to Develop Blockchain-Based University Development Strategies'. About 40 blockchain experts and leaders attended the event.

Hoseo University Acting President Lee Jong-won revealed the purpose of the forum, saying, “Universities want to explore various opportunities and possibilities to create real value using NFT technology.”

Hwang Jong-seong, President of Korea Intelligent Information Society Promotion Agency, Kim Hyeong-joong, President of Korea Fintech Association, Kim Ki-hong, Chairman of Korea Digital Solidarity-Blockchain Forum, Lee Bong-gyu, Yonsei University Professor and Director of Broadcasting and Communications Policy Research Institute gave congratulatory speeches, and Lee Sang-hyun, Google Asia Pacific Compute+ Policy Director, video forum I sent a congratulatory message for the event. .

In the forum, 'NFT Campus Establishment Strategy Roadmap', 'Challenges for Activating NFT', 'Blockchain Utilization Plan for NFT Trust-Based Distribution', 'NFT Business Trend', 'Utilization of NFT in the Fashion Industry', ' Lectures focused on examples of each industry to increase the utilization of NFTs, such as 'The 6th Industry and NFT Business Model'.

Hoseo University Professor Kim Sang-beom, who gave the keynote presentation, said, “Hoseo University is planning to build an NFT infrastructure for the entire university for the first time in Korea. Through this, we are trying to give NFT technology innovation experience to all members of the university,” he said. We plan to develop the value of doing business as a business model and play the role of NFT platform for university assets and student administration to the role of regional NFT asset management hub.”

Meanwhile, Hoseo University issued blockchain-based NFT degree certificates and certificates to all 2,830 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral graduates at the graduation ceremony in 2021. Hoseo University plans to apply NFT technology to various academic administrations such as register management and certificate issuance with this forum as an opportunity.
