Cheongju University “Classes at the Metaverse Campus from next year”
The 'Metabus (3D Virtual World) Campus' will be implemented at Cheongju University (President Cha Chun-soo) from March next year. Cheongju University announced on the 13th that it has signed a contract with LG Uplus for a university-specific 'Meta-Life (CJU)' platform to build a platform where you can enjoy offline and meta-bus college life at the same time.
When this service starts, new students next year will be able to take specific classes through 'Avatar' in a classroom implemented with 3D modeling, just like the building where they actually take classes. In addition, online library use, club activities, busking performances, and metabus consultations are also available. Along with this, you can write an English resume and make travel plans on the streets of New York, USA, virtually implemented with a native speaker.
The points (SOL points) obtained through 'Meta Life' can be converted into competency mileage scholarships. Outsiders, such as local residents, can freely explore the Cheongju University Metaverse space and view the exhibition gallery.
President Cheon-soo Cha said, “Establishment of the metabus platform will be responsible for the integration of online and offline campuses and the vitalization of the student community that combines 'play' and 'learning'.” I hope it will serve as an opportunity to create a model.”
