KB Kookmin Bank, Microsoft Korea and Metaverse MOU for technical cooperation

KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 17th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Microsoft Korea on the 16th for metaverse technology cooperation.

 

The agreement ceremony held at the KB Kookmin Bank Yeouido IT Center on the same day was attended by Yoon Jin-soo, CEO of KB Kookmin Bank Tech Group, Lee Ji-eun, CEO of Microsoft Korea, and officials from both organizations.

 

 

Through a business agreement with Microsoft Korea, KB Kookmin Bank ▲discovered and implemented joint tasks in the augmented reality (AR) field ▲developed financial contents using augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) ▲finance and metaverse (AR) MR) agreed to mutually cooperate on technical cooperation for convergence services.

 

In addition, KB Kookmin Bank, together with Microsoft, plans to develop financial contents using HoloLens and introduce an employee education and training program to protect financial consumers. The plan is to prevent incomplete sales by establishing an education and training program that allows branch employees to check compliance with the Financial Consumer Protection Act while selling financial products to virtual customers.

 

Yoon Jin-soo, CEO of KB Kookmin Bank's Tech Group, said, "In the future, various types of metaverses will emerge, and as the number of participants increases, we expect that financial activities will naturally arise." We plan to secure these and expand cooperation with related companies,” he said.
