With Ronaldo, Skank and fans of the club, Cruzeiro announces entry into the metaverse with extensive immersive programming

 

Cruzeiro  announced the holding of a digital event set in the  Metaverse , with lectures, historical games,   appearances by idols and players from the current squad, all in an immersive way for fans and fans, as happens in video games.

 

Ronaldo Nazário, majority partner of the club and idol of Brazilian football,  was the one who made the announcement of the event that will take place between the 16th and 18th of November.

 

“The young audience, the future fan, is in digital and, to ensure that they are interested in your product, in your brand, you have to be in this world. Whether with the NFTs or with its presence in Metaverso, it is in this environment that consumers live with their peers, interact with brands and consume”, says Sylmara Multini, CEO of IDG.

 

Called Cruzeiro Big Blue, the event will also feature panels and will feature the participation of football director Paulo André and coach Paulo Pezzolano, in addition to Ronaldo . In all, there will be 16 tables with topics related to Cruzeiro.  

 

Everything will be set up on Planeta Big Blue, a setting within the Metaverse with a Cruise-themed environment. To build it,  Hollywood cameras, Formula 1 broadcasting tools and the same engineering used in successful games such as Fortnite were used.

 

“The challenge of sports institutions is constant and will involve developing new intellectual properties, which unfold in the Metaverse and in virtual realities. There is still a lot to explore in this regard”, highlights Bruno Maia, CEO of Feel The Match and specialist in innovation and new technologies in sports and entertainment.

Ronaldo says that one of the main objectives of the action is to bring the fans closer to the club and, for that, the system collects data from those who enter the virtual world. Fans wishing to participate in the event must provide their full name, e-mail address, telephone number, age and city where they live. With this data, the club will also be able to attract business partners.

 

“There is enormous potential for Brazilian football to grow in the online world. And Cruzeiro comes out ahead. We are going to develop a new concept of relating to the fans”, commented Ronaldo, owner of the Club.

 

The announcement also had the participation of the CEO of Cruzeiro, Gabriel Lima, the idol Dirceu Lopes and Samuel Rosa, singer of Skank, a fan of the club. All will be present at the event tables.

 

 “The pandemic has only accelerated this trend and today the digital environment is part of our daily lives. The Metaverse is a very promising project and should consolidate this fusion of the real and virtual worlds, already present in the gaming environment. Clubs can also take advantage of this platform to grow even more”, projects Guilherme Figueiredo, CEO of NSports.

 

Recently, São Paulo Futebol Clube even hinted at the possibility of joining Metaverso in June of this year, with the creation of a hub for the formation of projects, but it has not yet integrated, in fact, this virtual world.
