Flamengo fan creates NFT to help with Denir treatment; know how to contribute
Recently, the family of Adenir Silva, the oldest employee in the history of Flamengo, appealed to the courts to guarantee the cost of treatment against cancer by Unimed's health plan. Before getting the right, the news mobilized the web and reached businessman Bruno Pessoa - a Red-Black fan.
Owner of Gotas.Social , Bruno Pessoa had the idea of producing and selling digital stickers (NFT) of Denir, worth R$ 10, to help the family in the new stage of treatment. According to the businessman, the action is already bearing fruit and R$ 2,000 were sent to Eneli, the masseur's wife - who was thrilled with the mobilization of the crowd.
- I saw that the legend of red-black football Denir, whom I had the pleasure of meeting when my father worked at Flamengo, is going through a very difficult time because of the tumor and also for financial reasons. For this reason, I decided to use our @Gotasapp infrastructure to help him and his family get through this moment. We created Denir's digital stickers and 100% of the income will go to him and his family. Each sticker costs R$ 10.00 and can be purchased with PIX. If you can, I ask that you contribute by accessing the site drops.social and use the code DENIRFLAMENGO - wrote Bruno Pessoa in his profile .

Unimed, however, has already authorized treatment worth more than R$70,000. In addition, according to the decision of the 7th Civil Court of the Barra da Tijuca Region, the health plan will also be required to pay for any new medication prescribed by the medical team in Denir. It is worth mentioning that Flamengo has followed and contributed with what was necessary.
UNDERSTAND THE CASE
Since September 2022, Denir, Flamengo's oldest employee since 1980, has been fighting brain cancer. The 74-year-old masseur was removed from his duties at the club to take care of his health and, since then, has undergone three cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Now, the medical team responsible for Denir requested a new stage of treatment, valued at more than R$ 70,000, with four applications of a medication - which had been refused by Unimed, the masseur's health plan. Unable to afford the amount, the family went to court in an urgent request.
