Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Shop, NFT Marketing Expansion

Hyundai Department Store Duty Free is expanding NFT (Non-Fungible Token) marketing. The goal is to provide a unique experience to customers visiting duty-free shops.

 

Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced on the 21st that it will open the 'Smas World NFT Pop-up Store' on the 9th floor of the Trade Center by the end of July. The pop-up store runs simultaneously with the online store.

 

In the pop-up store, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free exhibits digital artwork and goods using digital characters 'Newnique Traveler' and 'Banana Noma' created in collaboration with digital art company 'Smas World'. and sell. 100 card-type gold bars with characters are sold in limited quantities, and digital character NFTs are presented to customers who purchase them.

 

In addition, this digital art work will be exhibited and sold in a virtual space in collaboration with 'Olym Planet', a company specializing in the metaverse. The Lost Cosmos, a virtual pop-up store opened at the Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Internet Duty Free Shop, sells Smas World collaboration products such as card-type gold bars, hoodies, and short-sleeved T-shirts.

 

A person in charge of Hyundai Department Store Duty Free said, “As part of the 15 tasks to promote the duty-free industry of the Korea Customs Service, we are introducing a different online and offline sales channel using virtual spaces such as Metaverse at duty-free shops.” We will continue to develop various contents that lead the digital trend in the duty free industry."
