VKontakte predicted the number of connections to the VK NFT service

MOSCOW, March 24 - PRIME. The social network "VKontakte" expects that by the end of 2023 more than a million crypto wallets will be connected to the VK NFT service, at the moment there are "hundreds of thousands" of them, said the technical director of the social network Alexander Tobol.

Non-fungible token (NFT)  - a digital certificate on  based on blockchain technology, confirming the right to  ownership of a virtual asset. Most often, NFTs are unique digital items, including digital art, games, and sometimes social media posts. NFT items cannot be faked.

"I think that we will exceed a million connected wallets within the social network,"  - said Tobol, answering a  journalists' question about  forecast of growth in the number of VK NFT users.

According to him, "hundreds of thousands of users" are currently connected to the  service.

In December, VKontakte launched a separate VK NFT service that allows you to transfer existing digital assets of users to accounts, they can be installed on the user's avatar or special showcases in the profile, for this it is enough to link your crypto wallet to the service.
