MetaMask launches free Web3 course for Brazilians
The most popular cryptocurrency wallet in the Ethereum ecosystem, MetaMask has launched a Web3 course for Brazilians. For free, all those interested can start learning about what is new on the internet.
Published last Tuesday (1/31), o MetaMask Learn presents itself as a new training program in the industry.
It is worth noting that the first version of the course is only available in 10 languages, Brazilian Portuguese being one of them.
New Web3 course by MetaMask aims to teach about self-custody after the 2022 meltdowns
Initially, the course promoted by MetaMask explains to the students the main concepts of Web3, presenting the technologies.
In addition, the MetaMask Learn program features topics such as “What is a Crypto Wallet”, “The Age of Digital Identity”, “What is a Self-custodial Wallet”, “NFTs and Creators” and “Decentralized Finance”.
According to Dan Finlay, co-founder of MetaMask, the events of 2022 hurt the cryptocurrency market and custodial trust.
“Events in 2022 have legitimately damaged confidence in custody funding, and more cryptocurrency investors are looking to use self-custodial products. Initially, the course has eight modules available to students. In the future, more classes may be created by the training program.
Investors do not know that there are self-custody portfolios
According to a recent study commissioned by Consensys, which polled 1,505 cryptocurrency investors in the United States, three-quarters of participants were unaware of self-custodial wallet solutions.
That is, when investing in cryptocurrencies, they kept their possessions in third-party services, taking risks with their assets.
For MetaMask, after the collapses of 2022, education should increase the confidence of market investors, especially those involved with Web3.
