VKontakte NFT transfer service will work with TON

The VK NFT service launched on Monday for transferring non-fungible tokens to the social network is already working with the Ethereum and Polygon blockchain platforms, and will work with the TON blockchain platform next year. This was reported to journalists by the technical director of VKontakte Alexander Tobol.

“Now it works on Ethereum and Polygon, it will soon work with TON,” Tobol said.

He specified that the service will work with TON in 2023.

TON is the third-generation Proof-of-Stake blockchain, originally developed in 2018 by the Durov brothers, the founders of the Telegram messenger. It was later handed over to the TON open community, which has supported and developed the project ever since.

The VKontakte social network launched a separate VK NFT service on Monday to transfer its non-fungible tokens to social network accounts. In the future, the company plans to launch a marketplace for creating and selling tokens and integrating them with other social network products, the VKontakte press service reported.
