Solana Mobile Season 2: Kintara Hands Seekers a Free Hoodie and a Chest at 20K XP
Kintara has launched a Seeker Season 2 promotion in partnership with Solana Mobile, giving participants an exclusive Seeker Hoodie cosmetic the moment they enter, plus a Seeker Chest once 20,000 XP is reached.
According to the studio’s post on X, the hoodie can be claimed right away. The chest arrives further down the line, and its contents aren’t guaranteed.
“Plus a Seeker Chest at 20K XP for a chance at exclusive cosmetics or gold,” Kintara said.
What’s confirmed and what isn’t
Beyond the two reward tiers, the studio has stayed quiet: no end date, no drop rates, no eligibility details. Solana Mobile, for its part, had not referenced the collaboration in its own Season 2 posts as of publication.
Gold carries more weight than the announcement implies. Inside Kintara it pays for daily trades, shop purchases and cosmetics, and it anchors the game’s token sinks. A paid spin on the Spinner Wheel costs roughly $3 in $KINS, with half of that burned and the other half sent to the game treasury.
Where it fits in Season 2
Season 2 kicked off in January, arriving alongside the Jan. 21 debut of SKR, the Solana Mobile token. Participants are scored across three categories — onchain activity, dApp exploration and daily device use — with a reset every 30 days and an activated Genesis NFT needed to join.
Games have repeatedly served as the draw. Colony was the first title to plug staked SKR straight into gameplay, sizing in-game rewards to how much a player had staked. Faenora dangled a 10% MCHY airdrop in front of Seekers who bought a mercenary using SKR. Oro linked its leaderboard tiers to tokenized gold and set aside a slice of its Season 1 nugget pool for Seeker users.
Kintara borrows the same playbook while leaving SKR out of it. Neither reward involves staking or requires buying a token.
On Aug. 20, Solana Mobile reworked the way Season 2 grades onchain activity, penalizing manufactured transactions and rewarding what it described as natural wallet use. Only future daily scores were affected, and points banked before the switch were preserved. Throughout a 30-day transition, the Activity tab in the Seed Vault Wallet displayed both the old and the new metrics.
The numbers behind both sides
By the end of Season 1, the program counted over 265 dApps, 9 million transactions and $2.6 billion in volume from more than 100,000 Seeker users. A total of 1.819 billion SKR went out to 100,908 users across five allocation tiers, with additional allocations going to the 188 developers who shipped to the dApp Store.
The catalog has grown past 700 apps since then, and later moved beyond 1,000. Figures cited by Solana Mobile include more than 4.3 billion SKR staked and upwards of 100,000 active users. Builder Grants opened on March 19 for teams building mobile-first apps with SKR integration.
Kintara operates at a far smaller scale. The browser MMO went live on Solana on May 22 and counts around 20,540 monthly active players, with concurrents topping out somewhere between 800 and 1,300. To date it has logged $450,000 in in-game transactions and banned 4,000 bots.
The XP math
Reaching 20,000 XP is no small ask in a title built around manual grinding. Daily quests span five skills — chopping wood, mining stone, catching fish, killing mobs — refreshing every 24 hours and paying out gold, XP and the occasional badge. None of it can be automated.
Version 3.6 opened up a quicker path. The update introduced Frostmere, a biome locked behind Total Level 20, along with Smithing, a skill trained in that zone that unlocks Level 2 tool crafting. Those tools double gathering rates and XP gain alike.
