UK-based Pixion Games has announced $3 million in a new investment from Bitkraft, bringing its total funding to $15.4 million. Previous investors include the likes of Delphi Digital, Spartan VC, Mechanism Capital, L1D and more.

Pixion is building blockchain infrastructure layer Power Protocol, which supports its POWER token and mobile-first action RPG Fableborne.

Bitkraft’s recent investment will support multi-game interoperability, with the aim of enabling third-party studios to join the ecosystem and integrate POWER.

Bitkraft Ventures principal Justin Swart commented, “We look at thousands of gaming pitches, and Pixion Games has released a beta that has achieved levels we rarely see in early mobile gaming.”

“With impressive metrics, and one of the most cleanly executed token launches, Pixion, the Fableborne game and the Power Protocol are building a compounding machine.”

Pixion Games founder and CEO Kam Punia, added, “We’re grateful to have BITKRAFT’s backing at this stage. They have a track record of supporting teams that build ecosystems with long term potential, and that’s our focus.”

Japanese fandom company Yoake Entertainment has announced that it’s raised $3.2 million from Sony Innovation Fund. Yoake’s Record protocol runs on the Soneium blockchain, so this deal reinforces the relationship between the two organizations. Yoake is also a strategic partner with Sony Block Solution Labs, which operates Soneium.

Yoake’s main success to-date is its work with Japanese idol festival Idol Runway Collection, which uses blockchain and AI to verify and reward fans’ activity. Currently in a private R&D phase, Record will eventually support music, film, gaming, and anime IP.

MapleStory Universe developer Nexpace has announced an undisclosed strategic investment into South Korea genAI game-making platform Verse8. This will see the platform integrated into the MapleStory Universe Builder ecosystem.

Nexpace says this will supercharge its Infinite IP Playground philosophy, enabling creators to combine MapleStory IP with their own imagination, aided and speeded by AI.

“Just as short-form and snackable content reshaped media consumption, we believe games will increasingly be valued for short, instantly fun experiences that are easy to try and easy to share. In that environment, the ecosystem advantage comes from a steady flow of compact, high-impact games rather than relying solely on a small number of long-cycle productions,” it states on Medium.

In terms of the financials deal, Nexpace gets the right to acquire equity in Verse8’s US arm, paying with NXPC tokens that will be distributed via a vesting schedule.
