Legend of Ymir hits 1 million pre-registrations and is giving away 2 BTC to get more

South Korean web3 game publisher Wemade has announced that its forthcoming MMORPG Legend of Ymir has now surpassed 1 million pre-registrations prior to its global Q4 launch.

But it still wants more.

So to further boost its numbers, Wemade is continuing its pre-launch events, which include:

• Valhalla Trials: Each week, the top 1,000 participants of the leaderboard-based competition receive rewards amounting to a total of 55,000 YMIR Treasure in-game tokens (YMT).
• Exclusive YMIR Partners Pool: The top 100 participants of the Valhalla Trials will be designated as YMIR Partners. They will share a prize pool consisting of 1 BTC combined with the unclaimed cumulative prize pool from the ongoing WEMIX PLAY lottery event, distributed according to their rank.
• Post-Launch Advantage: YMIR Partners will also receive special advantages in the post-launch Fortune Totem Draw event, which will feature an additional grand prize pool of 1 BTC.

More generally, Wemade has also been explaining some of the game’s metastructure, particularly how the game’s servers play a key role.

Via a partnership model, gamers will be able to acquire the rights to operate their own servers, with the ability to run special events and generate revenue from them.

Similarly there will be a streamer-based server ownership option for streamers and their communities to operate servers and also generate revenue.

Aside from these dedicated servers, the game will also employ servers in largescale PVP server battlers, in which the top communities will compete in the Ymir Cup, which will be rewarded using gWEMIX tokens.
