LOL Land launches new Pengu Wonderland map with Pengu Asia

Yield Guild Games and Pengu Asia have joined forces to launch a new level called Pengu Wonderland in degen casual browser game LOL Land.

The collaboration has been organized through Yield Guild Games’ YGG Play publishing arm, with some content in the level including IP owned by Pengu Asia’ community.

Pengu Asia is a regional project launched by Igloo APAC, part of Pudgy Penguins’ headco Igloo Inc.

YGG Play licensed five Pudgy Penguins and 15 Lil Pudgys, including from Pudgy Penguins holders Brian (#6300), Kinglongwu (#652), and Swam (#2637), and Lil Pudgys holders Elizabeth (#5644), Dan (#18079), Bam (#1586), Symphony (#5743), and Kit (#19084).

In addition, among the landmarks featured in Pengu Wonderland are the Temple of Heaven and the Shanghai TV Tower (China), Ben Thanh Market (Vietnam), Taipei 101 (Taiwan), HSBC Building (Hong Kong) and Petronas Twin Towers (Malaysia).

Other related content includes Singapore’s half lion, half fish merlion mascot, iconic red-sail junk boats and Filipino jeepney buses.

To-date, LOL Land has attracted 631,000 monthly active users with 69,000 daily active users in July. Its average spend is $434 per paying player.

Yield Guild Games has also used some of that revenue to buy back $518,000-worth of its own YGG token.

“Pengu Wonderland is a celebration of what makes both our communities special,” said Igloo APAC’s president Cheryl Law.

It highlights the richness of Asian culture and our growing cultural footprint in Asia. This collaboration comes at a perfect time as LOL Land’s fun and accessible gameplay will help us connect with more players in the web3 gaming space.”
