Cryptocurrency exchange OKX and Ethereum gaming platform Immutable have announced a strategic alliance aimed at unveiling a specialized GameFi launchpad. This launchpad will be hosted on OKX’s NFT marketplace, marking the beginning of collaborative integrations between the two entities.
The GameFi Launchpad and Collaborative Integrations
The GameFi launchpad, a focal point of this collaboration, will serve as a platform for introducing assets associated with games launching on the Immutable zkEVM network. Moreover, OKX pledges support for Immutable zkEVM through its marketplace and wallet infrastructure.
Immutable reciprocates by integrating the OKX wallet into its Immutable Passport, a simplified wallet and sign-in solution for crypto gaming. Additionally, the OKX NFT Marketplace will find its place within the Immutable Orderbook and marketplace ecosystem.
Upcoming Releases and Global Launch Dates
The launchpad's debut is anticipated in the "upcoming months," coinciding with the release of Immutable zkEVM titles like Guild of Guardians, MetalCore, and Shardbound. Guild of Guardians is slated for a global release on May 15, while MetalCore aims for an open beta release in May, as reported by Decrypt’s GG. Meanwhile, Shardbound recently concluded an alpha playtest involving 2,000 users.
