Game7 releases comprehensive 2023 State of Web3 Gaming report

Blockchain gaming DAO Game7 has published its 61-page State of Web3 Gaming report, which is based on public data including research into more than 1,900 blockchain games, 1,000 funding rounds, and 170 ecosystems. 

 

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the report is its timeframe, which covers the period 2018 to 2023 – that is two bear markets: from 2018 to 2020 and 2022 to 2023 – which enables some broad trends to be considered.

 

Examples include the rise of blockchain games in terms of teams’ geographical location.

 

 

The growth of mobile as a viable platform for blockchain games.

 

 

And the changes in funding experienced over the years.

 

 

Other interesting trends highlighted in the report include the most popular chains for gaming.

 

 

And the chains that titles are migrating to in more uncertain times.

 

 

Of course, this is only a small subsection of the data contained in the report, which is well worth checking out.
