Adidas x Bugatti’s New Football Boot Collection Will Accept Crypto
According to an announcement published by Adidas, the sportswear brand and Bugatti have collaborated to launch a “limited edition football boot crafted for maximum speed and style.” The X Crazyfast Bugatti boots, only available in 99 pairs globally, are exclusively purchasable via an auction conducted using cryptocurrency.
The auction will be hosted on the Adidas Collect Web 3 platform, scheduled from November 8 to 11. However, users can seamlessly participate with traditional currency through the MoonPay service. Additionally, there will be a limited release of just 99 pairs globally.
Following the auction, all winners will receive an exclusive digital shoebox. From November 13 onwards, they can redeem it through Adidas Collect to obtain both the physical pair and its digital twin.
In a recent tweet, Bugatti described the collection as a “carbon-fiber beauty, accentuated by striking design details, epitomizes the compelling fusion of BUGATTI’s performance with Adidas X franchise.”
Additionally, Adidas has emphasized this exclusive collection embodies the defining traits associated with Bugatti, engineered for speed and crafted with a “‘Form Follows Performance’ design philosophy.” Adidas further noted:
Where the heart of the Chiron is its incomparable W16 engine, the focal point of the X Crazyfast boot is Adidas’s innovative Speedframe sole plate technology, creating the lightest possible structure while also providing a rigid plate for rapid acceleration.
Furthermore, the Aerocage innovation, featuring an engineered lining tailored to offer optimal mid-foot support and stability through a snug fit, along with the Aeropacity Speedskin, a single-layer breathable monomesh, collectively contribute to the combination of speed and stability.
Adidas has previously also launched exclusive collections, exploring crypto and the metaverse. In April, the company continued its commitment to pioneering fashion innovation with the launch of the “Indigo Herz Pack” collection, which served as a tribute to Adidas’ recent transformation as part of the “Into the Metaverse” campaign.
