October 16 is the date for Fortune’s Frontier

Tavernlight Games has set October 16 at 8:00 AM PT as the release time for RavenQuest’s new mode, Fortune’s Frontier. It is a fantasy extraction experience that accommodates lone players as well as duos. The objective is to gather gear, track down rare treasure, stay alive against creatures and hostile players, and get the haul back to base in one piece.

Seasons run two weeks each, and every new season wipes the Solo and Clan Leaderboards so competition begins again. Progress is recorded along the way, letting players build a legacy even as each season offers a clean slate.

Weighing risk against reward

Three Pirate Isles are available in Fortune’s Frontier, and each one carries its own danger level. Sajecho is the gentlest of the three: enemies are weaker there, and dying only costs players the treasure they had on them. Harbor turns up the pressure; treasure appears more often, but death means losing inventory as well as treasure, leaving the loot open to rivals.

Gilead sits at the top of the danger scale. It holds the rarest treasures, yet a death there strips away everything, current gear included. That layout lets careful players grind steadily in Sajecho while risk-takers chase the best loot in Gilead.

Daily access to each area is capped by an Energy system, which levels the playing field between players who have lots of time and those who have little.

How the core loop works

Exploring, hunting, looting, and stashing loot form the heart of the mode. Out in the field, players come across Treasure Pouches, Treasure Chests, and ancient Munk Songs. To extract successfully, they need to make it back to Fortune’s Frontier itself, a city assembled from shipwrecks, where their finds are converted into Silver.

Gear is not brought into a run; it is discovered during play, which turns every season into a race for equipment. Ahead of each outing, players pick a Trinket that grants a perk, anywhere from a combat boost to a survival aid.

Characters begin at an advanced level, so there is no long leveling grind before players can jump into the main experience.

How rewards are distributed

Over the course of a season, performance-based rewards build up in an expanding Reward Pool. Each player’s cut is determined by how much Silver they converted from treasure. On top of the pool, unique seasonal items will also be handed out.

Pre-registration has opened, and early signups get exclusive rewards, including a pet and a weapon named Warforge. The mode ties into RavenQuest’s existing token economy, contributing to the buyback and burn cycles of the QUEST token.

Frontier Carnival sets the stage

Before the new mode lands, the Frontier Carnival update arrived on September 19 and continues through September 29. It brought ten new pets, five of them Legendary companions, and raised the maximum pet capacity. Two new Tiger mounts and exclusive trophies were part of the package too.

Milestone rewards have been added to the Lucky Wheel to keep players engaged. A Clan system is now in place as well, so players can team up before the Clan Leaderboards go live on October 16.

About RavenQuest

RavenQuest is a top-down pixel art MMORPG developed by Tavernlight Games as a successor to the studio’s earlier title, Ravendawn, and it is available across major platforms. The core game centers on exploration, combat, crafting, and a player-driven economy that runs on RavenCoin and the on-chain QUEST token.

Earnings are multiplied through the Fame system according to a player’s influence, and Landowners gain access to exclusive content. Fortune’s Frontier offers newcomers a faster way in and gives veterans a competitive arena, with both feeding into the wider RavenQuest ecosystem. Season one kicks off on October 16 at 3:00 PM UTC, just after the Frontier Carnival wraps up.
