Beginner’s Guide for My Crypto Heroes Using Go!Wallet

My Crypto Heroes (MCH) is a new type of game and model using Blockchain technology. So in general there are a few additional steps needed before playing blockchain games. For the newbies out there I will explain in detail how to get started with playing My Crypto Heroes.

What is My Crypto Heroes

My Crypto Heroes is a casual worker-placement RPG where players collect and train historical heroes in the game universe. The main gameplay consists of PvE (Dungeon Explorer) and PvP battles with their trained Heroes. Additionally, in the Dungeon Explorer players can find and earn equipment (extensions) for their Heroes.

For the extensions there are two different types. The first one is categorized as an ‘Original extension’ which can be traded and the stats for it can be levelled up. The other is a ‘Replica extension’, which have fixed stats and are untradeable. Therefore the Original extensions will be more robust and stronger than the Replicas.

My Crypto Heroes uses blockchain technology to store the Heroes and Original extensions of the game on the blockchain. What this allows for is the ability for players to freely trade digital assets of the game. But before you can do that you need a specific application called a “Wallet” to purchase and store game assets and cryptocurrency such as Ethereum (ETH). You can play the game without using any cryptocurrency, however cryptocurrency is essential to appreciate the full-scale of gameplay.

Now let’s get started with Go Wallet.

Set up your account for Go Wallet

MCH has two ways of signing in: “Sign in with a Wallet” and “Sign in with a Google account (For a trial)”.

Again for full-scale gameplay, you will need crypto and a wallet. So in MCH select “Sign in with Wallet”.

Next, install Go Wallet on your mobile device. Here is the LINK

When you first open Go Wallet, you will need to make an account. Don’t forget to backup your account. A backup will be required if you lose your mobile device and need to recover your account. If you lose your backup, you cannot access your assets.

Setting up your account for MCH

The first time you access MCH you will be required to input your player name and invite code. *If you use my special invite code, you can get 2 more heroes* “Yukichi Fukuzawa” and “Sun Shangxiang”. My invite code is “rVq7“. The invite code can only be used once and when you start MCH.

Purchase ETH and send it to Your Wallet

If you do not have an account with a cryptocurrency exchange, you will need to open an account with one of them first. You can purchase ETH with a credit card but there will be additional fees.

After purchasing ETH, next send it to your wallet. You can find your ETH address in the “wallet” menu.

Obtaining Heroes

If you used my invite code, you will have already 5 novice Heroes. To have more success and effectiveness in the Dungeon Explorer, I recommend that you buy more Heroes.

MCH has two ways to get Heroes:

1) Buy GUM (the gaming currency) with ETH and then use the MCH’s marketplace.

2) Use an external marketplace like “OpenSea”. LINK

To trade assets in OpenSea, you can access the site by using Go Wallet. There you can find OpenSea’s link in the “browser” menu.

If you buy assets at OpenSea, you can see your assets in your “Inventory” menu. To use the assets in the game, you need to transfer the assets from the ETH Network to the crypto world (MCH gaming blockchain).

My Crypto Heroes Starting Strategy Guide

Building Your Team

Building your team when you get Heroes. A ‘team’ in My Crypto Heroes consists of three Heroes, and  battles proceed automatically through these set teams. Accordingly then the organization and setup of your first team is important.

The early stages are not that difficult and so it is OK to just setup any three Heroes and you will  proceed to level up.

You can make a team from the “Team” tab

You can organize 3 different teams and also register duplicated Heroes. Since the stamina is individually set for each Hero then if you have 3 teams x 3 = 9 Heroes that you can play efficiently.

Hero Settings

The Hero setting has three components as follows.

  • Extension
  • Art Edit
  • Setting Skill Sets

About Extensions

Extensions are basically items like equipment and weapons. You do not have any extensions at first, but when you venture into the Dungeon the enemies will drop them and then you can equip your Heroes with these extensions. Extensions have the effect of upgrading your stats and the ability to change your skills.

As mentioned before there are two types of extensions, “Replica” and “Original”. Original extensions can be upgraded, and because of this they can outperform much better than “Replica extensions. When you get an Original extension I recommend that you always equip your Hero with it, even if it is weak at first.

About Art Edit

Art Edit is a unique system in My Crypto Heroes, which allows you to change the graphics of your heroes. Depending on the graphic, “Art Editing” skill is obtained. Because the option is available I recommend that you set it up from the beginning.

About Passive Skills

Passive skills are hero-specific skills. Passive skills are powerful and are triggered under certain conditions. They are one of the more important factors that can determine a victory or defeat in a battle. When selecting a Hero, you have to examine the Passive skills well!

About Setting Your Skills

A total of three skills are considered the actions of a Hero. Two of them come from extensions and the last one comes from Art editing. The order is interchangeable.

You always need to think strategically, such as the following.

・First you set your buff skill.

・Then the recovery skill is set second by reading the right timing.

During the battle, Heroes repeat the order determined by the skill set.

Dungeon (node) Capture

After finish building your team, you will capture the Dungeon (Node System). Nodes are divided into 6 levels for each of the 4 types.

  • Atanasoff: Drop extensions of physical type. Enemies attack by physical types.
  • Antikythera: Drop extensions of intelligence type. Enemies attack by intelligence types.
  • Hollerith: Drop extensions of recovery type. Enemies attack by physical types.
  • Turing: Drop extensions of defense type. Enemies attack and recover by special types.
  •

When you start, I recommend getting to level 10 in the “Atanassof” node for levelling and the procurement of weapons. This will increase the level and aiming for the “Novis Blade” and “Elite Blade” of the original extension.

Once you get it, equip it immediately! The Heroes extensions will gain experience together with the Hero in result of this.

You will repeat the capturing of nodes, aiming to level up and release the original extensions. In the future, Guild matches and Rank matches will be implemented.

If you continue to develop your Heroes and consider the strategies, you will be able to proceed favorably in My Crypto Heroes.
