Team Liquid migrates its esports archive to Sui’s Walrus

Leading esports outfit Team Liquid has announced the migration of its content library to Walrus, the decentralized storage protocol that runs on Sui.

Including several years of match footage, behind-the-scenes clips, and other Team Liquid content, the transition is the largest single dataset to Walrus, transitioning Team Liquid’s multimedia archive from static files into onchain-compatible assets.

The move streamlines data access for Team Liquid’s global teams, removes internal silos, and improves its core infrastructure. Using the Sui Stack, Team Liquid can also launch new digital experiences and revenue opportunities without requiring future data migrations.

“For Team Liquid, moving content to Walrus provides a foundation that’s reliable at scale, fast to work with across teams, and flexible enough to support new ways of using and monetising content over time, without needing to move or rebuild data as new use cases emerge,” commented Walrus Foundation managing executive Rebecca Simmonds.

The migration will be carried out using blockchain-native AI platform Zark Lab, allowing internal teams to search files more efficiently across multiple drives and locations. The configurable archive access unlocks the use of Team Liquid’s content for documentaries and legacy campaigns, while maintaining granular access control.
