Web3 gamer network KGeN expands to MENA, opening Bahrain HQ

Web3 gaming community Kratos Gaming Network (KGeN), previously IndiGG, has made a strategic expansion into the Middle East and North Africa region by opening a local headquarter in Bahrain.

Establishing a Bahrain-based HQ means KGeN is well bolstered to start its ground-work operations tapping into the growing gaming and web3 sectors within the MENA region.

Led by Faiz Al Wari, the local Bahrain team will aim to unite the industries by serving as a bridge between gaming, communities and publishers. To that end, it will introduce its web3-based universal gamer reputation framework and Proof of Gamer user identity system.

On why the KGeN chose Bahrain for its location, network co-founder Manish Agarwal said on LinkedIn that the local authorities had treated it as a partner, rather than “as vendors or service providers”. He also highlighted the hard working English-speaking population as well as lower costs compared to Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Moreover, KGeN is looking to form local and global partnerships with companies in the region’s ICT sector, with a particular focus on AI and web3.

Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) chief of business dev Ali Al Mudaifa commented, “The strategic decision of establishing their regional headquarters in Bahrain is a strong testament to our island nation’s dynamic and rapidly evolving tech ecosystem.”

“This milestone further strengthens our commitment to supporting the development of the MENA region’s gaming industry, which is projected to reach a market value of USD 2.8 billion by 2026.”
