Banco de Chile reaches the Decentraland metaverse in the middle of the bear market

 

The Bank of  Chile   announced  his entry to  metaverse  from  Decentraland  (MANA) with the opening of its virtual space "Dimension B", a virtual building where it will offer an interactive experience to its users. Customers will be able to explore new financial products and services.

 

Banco de Chile is the first financial institution in the country to enter the metaverse and "Dimension B" promises to provide discounts, promotions for its customers, and even prizes. Those interested in entering Banco de Chile in Decentraland must design an avatar with their personality.

Bank users will be able to interact with "FANi", a virtual assistant, who is the face of the "first account" of Banco de Chile in 2019 and where there are more than 1 million customers. In the facilities, on the first floor there will be exhibitions of the products: FAN Account, Digital Current Account and  apps  of the Bank of Chile.

 

Rodrigo Devia, manager of Digital Transformation of Banco de Chile, emphasized:

 

“We want to achieve learning, eliminate geographical barriers and facilitate collaboration in a simpler and more effective way, demonstrating our commitment to the technological future and staying at the forefront of innovation.” Dimension B was born as a new way of connecting and linking with our current clients. Our ambition is to be a leading digital bank that is at the service of our customers and generate memorable experiences for them”.

 

The project in the Decentraland metaverse of Banco de Chile arrives in full swing  bear market   for the crypto industry. In the last month, the MANA token of that metaverse  It has remained  in a downtrend, oscillating between $0.478 and $0.35, however, its highest point was last June 5, when it reached $0.5197. A year ago, the token was trading at $1,085, almost triple its current price.

The second floor of "Dimension B" will have a FAN Clan and will focus on the youngest (between 14 and 18 years old), who will be able to interact with the characters: FANcy, SteFAN, RaFAN and FANcisca. The third floor will be for companies. In this regard, Claudia Herrera, manager of the Division  Marketing  and Digital Banking of Banco de Chile, said:

 

“This initiative is aligned with our commitment to be the benchmark bank in digital transformation and in responding to the new needs of people and particularly young people. We want to deliver a space for exploration. With our entry into the metaverse, we want to build new ways of connecting and bonding, beyond the products and services that we traditionally deliver at the bank”.

Chile maintains interest in the metaverse

Chile has been a pioneer in  Latin America  in services related to the metaverse. Among the brands that have launched virtual strategies have been:  Nokia  y  SamsungEven the Future Congress in Santiago analyzed the impact of the metaverse in various areas such as the economy, health, education and  security .

 

Weeks ago, academics from the Autonomous University of Chile and the El Bosque University in Bogotá,  Colombia , discussed the metaverse via virtual, through MetaLab, where they addressed the inclusion of immersed learning and the need to create unique educational experiences.

 

The Autonomous University of Chile  He detailed  that some of his students have implemented innovative ways of applying academia to the metaverse. Both universities held exhibitions and presentations at  Virtual Reality , as part of the meeting at the MetaLab.
