[BOSS FIGHTERS] THE GRAND UPDATE
It’s been a while since our last medium article — we were busy building the project and preparing our next big move. In this article, we would like to cover the recent progress and upcoming new events and features.
STATE OF BOSS FIGHTERS
DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS
Over the last few months, we mostly focused on developing multiplayer infrastructure, gameplay features, and backend for the token utility.
A fraction of what’s done so far:
- Integrated Steam matchmaking, session browser, private and public lobbies
- Scalable client-server architecture using playfab backend
- Login, wallet signup, and character avatars in-game integration
- Developed a flexible loadout weapon and equipment system to quickly iterate and balance gameplay for both Boss and Fighter
- New battle arena whitebox, built with our upcoming map editor toolbox!
There is so much more to talk about development advances that we will dedicate a whole article to this topic prior to the closed alpha release!
PARTNERSHIPS
BOSS FIGHTERS managed to secure several major partnerships during this bear market.
These are only a few: MYRIA, Asva Gaming Guild, GotBit Global Markets, KryptoTurkey, VispX, Infinity Pad, and many more!
Our team also started close partnership with Oasys Games, when we won the Best Web3 Concept on the recent Global Games Pitch!
In the coming days, we will announce another set of big partnerships that will help us grow and fulfill our goals!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR BOSS FIGHTERS?

BOSS FIGHTERS team is constantly working to make agreements with as many valuable community VC and launchpad partnerships to bring the project in front of diverse groups of investors. One of the first launchpads in line for the token sale is INFINITY PAD, from the DAO MAKER ecosystem — the top-tier launchpad in the world.

WEBSITE REWORK AND VISUAL STYLE REDESIGN
Following our strategy to become more user-friendly towards the general gaming community and VR enthusiasts, we decided to re-do our website from the ground up, to better showcase the exciting gameplay and unique features of Boss Fighters. Moreover — the website serves as the portal to Web3-related features of the game which also required a rework from the ground up!
This naturally caused us to rethink our visual style, to better reflect the funhouse and wacky battles that BOSS FIGHTERS is all about!
STEAM PAGE RELEASE
BOSS FIGHTERS closed alpha game client will be available on Steam in the next few weeks
We’re excited to announce that our Steam Page goes live in the next 2 weeks, which will introduce lots of new players to BOSS FIGHTERS!
Once the page goes live, make sure to add the game to your wishlist, this might increase your chances to get the access key!
CLOSED ALPHA RELEASE
Our first publicly playable version of BOSS FIGHTERS is just around the corner. We plan to open access to a limited number of players by the end of Q3. There will be another dedicated article about the access to the game closer to release, or you can secure access by grabbing one of the ROWDIES characters.
MARKETING PLANS FOR THE NEAR FUTURE
Upon completing private token sales and launching the Closed Alpha we plan to do a large-scale campaign with the help of content creators, using services that connect content creators and game developers.
The alpha launch will also be paired with the invitational tournaments, featuring content creators, our early adopters and gaming guilds.
We also target a very engaged community of VR enthusiasts, with paid ADs on major portals like UploadVR.com and Sidequest.vr — websites with more than 2mil monthly visitors each.
Not to mention that having a steam page guarantees almost 500,000 impressions in the first few days after the page goes live.
We also partnered with Myria, L2 gaming blockchain solution with a 160k community of Web3 gamers and investors.
They will support us over the course of development and help us with the marketing at all stages!
WHAT ABOUT NFTs, STAKING, STARS AIRDROP?
We partnered with Myria to build BOSS FIGHTERS on ETH L2 solution to guarantee our players the best Web3 experience and zero gas fees. While we spent some time working on the staking features on SOLANA we decided to move towards a more suitable and faster solution for the benefit of the project and community.
We are actually already working on the test net deployment and you might expect more news about the L2 transition in September!
