Craft World lays out plans for more strategy and customization
Resource-based idle game Craft World laid out its future roadmap in an AMA covering both short and long term plans for the browser and mobile game, which launched on Ronin on the 31st July and recently also completed its first collab event with NFT collections Ronke, Moku and Kanstar.
Labelled Era 3.1, some of the changes are already live in the game, such as the new player base area, which will allow users to customize their bases, in terms of building placement as well as account optimization as new building types, including cosmetics, are introduced.
One notable example will be the power station, which will expand on the existing battery feature, forcing players to expand more and different resources to ensure they have enough power to do the tasks they want to accomplish.

Indeed, providing players with more significant choices and encouraging them to specialize in the production of particular resources is a key trend running through many of the changes that will be rolled out in the coming months.
Other aspects of the base will include the ability to expand your area so you can have more buildings as there will always be more buildings than available base space. Players will also be able to level up their buildings to unlock advanced functionality.
Another big change is coming to land plots, which are the areas players unlock and level up their factories to produce the various in-game resources, all of which are ERC-20 tokens on Ronin.
Additional land plots will be made available to the current four, but these will have to be transformed by new in-game assets called terraformers before you can build factories on them. The type of terraformer used will have an impact on the type of resources the land plots can produce. This will be combined with land blueprints, which will define what factories can be created on each plot.
Over time, it’s expected that both the terraformers and blueprints will become tradable NFTs.
In terms of how these assets will be distributed, the plan is that they will be part of rewards granted as players complete the large collaborative masterpiece events that regularly happen in-game.
This will make masterpiece contributions more valuable and encourage higher retention and monetization.
