Competitive, wagerable TCG Project O to launch on Immutable

In part thanks to a strong pedigree in trading card games, having operated Gods Unchained since 2019, Koin Games has announced that its forthcoming mobile TCG Project O is going to launch on the Immutable blockchain.

As well as boasting fast-paced matches with players making simultaneous turns from a 13-card-deck on a simple three-lane board, Project O hopes to stand out among the many web3-enabled TCGs with its competitive gameplay and its deeper blockchain metagame.

One element of this is its blueprint system, which sees some cards consisting of a master set of 100 NFTs, allowing holders to generate some yield from the game’s overall revenue. More generally, players will also be able to level up their deck cards to make them more cosmetically appealing and more rare. The culmination of this will be the ability for players to enter a special mode in which both players wager a card in a winner-takes-all situation.

Another differentiation is Project O’s strong aesthetics, which employes well-known popular storybook characters – now out-of-copyright – with examples in the launch set ranging from Winnie the Pool and Little Red Riding Hood to Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood, Puss in Boots and the Queen of Hearts.

Koin Games plans to integrate new characters, including collaborations with current IPs, in future expansions.
