Teatro Amazonas gets version in the metaverse in celebration of its 126 years
In celebration of the 126 years of historical heritage, celebrated last Saturday (31), the Teatro Amazonas won a no metaverse . People from all over the world will be able to experience virtually, via cell phone or computer, the details of the greatest postcard of the Amazon .
The link to access the novelty, presented by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, is available until January 30, on the Portal da Cultura ( cultura.am.gov.br ) and on social networks (@culturadoam and @teatroamazonas).
According to the ministry's secretary, Marcos Apolo Muniz, the centenary theater provides a new experience to the public and expands its reach, through the internet.
“Teatro Amazonas is now in a new layer of reality that integrates the real and virtual worlds, in an immersive way. With this exhibition, we were able to expand the reach of the public. More people around the world, through the internet, can check out the historical, touristic and cultural contribution of Teatro Amazonas, in addition to its incomparable beauty”, says the secretary.
According to VAT's institutional and technology director, one of the project's creators, Michelle Melo, the virtual environment developed by the company's professionals is a way of contributing to the history of Teatro Amazonas. “It is an important and creative responsibility for all the professionals involved”, said Michelle, who was part of a group of three technology companies involved in the project.
Functionality
On the Culture Portal ( cultura.am.gov.br ), the visitor can access the banner with the metaverse link, then choose to access it through the browser or by downloading the applications available for Android and IOS. Upon entering the environment, the user fills in a nickname and the metaverse of the theater is presented with online navigation information.
In the external area of the metaverse, the architecture has a 3D animation of the dome and explanatory audio about the origin and composition, information from the musicians of the cultural space and Christmas decorations typical of December. The facade was also modeled in 3D art and in the place it is possible to observe architectural details such as its ceiling, doors and columns, close to reality.
In addition to the external parts, the metaverse features a video room with the history of Teatro Amazonas and reserves access to other exhibition rooms, such as the Amazonas Filarmônica Room, the Opera Festival Room, the Noble Room and the 360 Tour of the Theater, all with historical context and composition visualization of theatrical architecture.
