MapleStory N does $1.6 million in NFT trading during first week

Following the launch of PC MMORPG MapleStory N on 15th May, Nexon’s overall MapleStory University has been gearing up, both with the launch of its NXPC token and its web-based NFT marketplace, which uses the NESO in-game token.

Like the tokens, the marketplace runs on Nexon’s Henesys blockchain and is already seeing plenty of activity.

To-date, over $1.6 million of NFT trading – both in-game items and characters – has been recorded with the top individual sale being a level 203 character, sold for $5,672.

More generally, the marketplace has tracked over 350,000 active wallets, with 1.3 million total item sales.

As for daily onchain activity across the game and the marketplace, it’s hovering around 30,000 daily active unique wallets, with a peak of just under 40,000 DAUWs on 19th May.

The NXPC token price isn’t so stable, however.

Having being first tracked at $2.51, it’s since fallen to $1.81 given it a fully diluated valuation of $1.8 million.
