Nexus acquires Pixel Heroes Adventure dev Z5 Games

Publicly-owned South Korean game company Nexus has announced it has acquired blockchain game developer Z5 Games, which operates Immutable-based RPG Pixel Heroes Adventure.

The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Z5 Games was founded by Kim Kang-soo who was previously the producer of web2 mobile title Dragon Village. As part of the deal, Kim will join Nexus, overseeing the design and execution of tokenomics for its games.

In particular, Nexus is in the process of releasing its own web3 RPG called R.O.H.A.N.2, which runs on the L1 Cross Protocol that Nexus operates alongside the Swiss Opengame Foundation.
