Yield Fields lets Founding Deed holders stake and build before farming starts

Deed Staking is now open in Yield Fields. Anyone holding a Founding Deed can stake it, build a first Structure and start generating Fertilizer while the farming launch is still ahead.

The team announced the change on X. “Deed Staking is LIVE!” the post read. “You can now stake your Deed, build your first Structure and start producing Fertilizer before farming begins.”

Staking has no effect on who gets to farm. It controls building: an unstaked Deed can’t put up Structures.

Deed holders as producers

According to the team, farming will be open to everyone, whether they own a Deed or not. Owning one gives a holder land to build on and access to a separate resource loop.

That loop starts with Fertilizer, which Fert Decks produce and which farmers without Deeds will need. The team has called Deed holders producers within the economy, not gatekeepers to it.

Holders who stake now get a head start on building up Fertilizer before the farmers who need it show up.

Docs arrived the day before

Around a day ahead of the staking launch, the team put out a first version of its docs at yieldfields.fun/docs. They explain Founding Deeds, staking and the Fert Deck. At that point the team said Deed Staking would be live “very shortly.”

Mint and reveal

The full run of 3,333 Founding Deeds minted on Robinhood Chain on Oct. 13, 2026. The sale lasted roughly 30 seconds.

Of those, 2,445 went to guaranteed allowlist spots at 0.1 ETH apiece. The remaining 888 were sold through a public Dutch auction that settled at 0.999688 ETH.

The reveal ran automatically at 2 p.m. UTC on Oct. 22, with no action needed from holders. Every Deed now displays its plot, archetype and Fertility score.

Background

The Onchain Heroes team is behind Yield Fields. Developer Skarly also made Wolf Game and Onchain Heroes, and the project’s community gathers in the Onchain Heroes Discord.

A token called Yield Fields Strategy ($YFS) also exists. It’s an independent community project, and the Yield Fields team neither runs nor endorses it.

The team put the new rule in a single line: “Staking is optional, but only staked Deeds can build.”
