Off The Grid’s Gunz mainnet migration now starting for EU PC players
Following the approval of the GUN cryptocurrency as a utility token under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) rules at the end of August, Gunzilla is finally starting to migrate Off The Grid’s players to the Gunz mainnet.
Previously it had only moved 21,000 early adopters, but starting with EU-based players of the PC version of the game, the fullscale migration will begin this week.
Off The Grid is currently available through Epic Games Store and Steam, with a peak concurrent total of around 13,000 players on Steam.
However, the game launched on Xbox and PlayStation in October 2024. Migration of this larger number of players to the Gunz mainnet won’t happen until Gunzilla gets approval from Sony and Microsoft. They currently all use the Gunz testnet.
In terms of the game’s scale, Gunzilla says that to-date the mainnet has been accessed by 62,498 unique wallets, with 7.7 million NFTs minted. Over $285,000-worth of NFTs have also been traded via OpenSea.
The game is currently attracting around 3,000 daily active unique wallets.

“Achieving MiCAR compliance is more than a regulatory milestone — it’s a defining moment for Gunzilla and the GUNZ ecosystem,” said Gunzilla CEO Vlad Korolov.
“By becoming the first gaming token approved under the EU’s new framework, we’ve not only secured regulatory clarity but also set a precedent for how web3 and gaming can thrive together in a compliant environment. This approval paves the way for millions of players and partners across Europe to engage with GUN as a true utility token at the heart of our ecosystem. It’s a major step toward realizing our vision of building the premier web3-native, AAA gaming chain.”
