Christina Aguilera to release NFTs and metaverse experiences
Pop superstar Christina Aguilera has made trademark applications at the United States Patent and Trademark office (USPTO) for metaverse and NFT related products.
Filings reveal that the “Back and Basic” singer wants to create non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of downloadable multimedia files containing artwork, audio, text and videos related to her music and performance arts. Aguilera also plans to release virtual merchandise such as art, clothing, headwear, footwear, eyewear, beauty products and Jewelry.
The pop diva also applied for trademark in the metaverse to provide entertainment services such as musical performances and virtual appearances.
Christina Aguilera is one the most popular pop stars who gained popularity in the 90s and has sold roughly 14 million copies of her albums worldwide. The singer famous for 2010 hits “Genie in a bottle” and “Stripped” has fallen off the charts recently and is looking to make a comeback in the metaverse.
