Tamagotchi-style Axie Pals announced, with AI features to come

Expanding the Axie IP beyond games, Sky Mavis has announced Axie Pals, an AI-powered Google Chrome extension that brings Tamagotchi-style features to your Axies.

The company is working with AI tech provider Kindred AI, using its Pals platform, which is also working with Sanrio to create pals using the Hello Kitty and Teletubbies’ brands.

The first release of Axie Pals is described as having limited features, notably not yet including AI interactions. Instead you can feed and pat them, also sending them to sleep and waking them up.

Ensuring your actions also feed back into the Axie ecosystem, the way you interact with your Axie will be incentivized as you can earn AXP points. The better you care for it, the more AXP you’ll earn passively and you also get AXP for specific actions.

Of course, there will be an AXP leaderboard, which will be rewarded with the AXS token for the top 100 places. The top 10 accounts in terms of referral numbers will also be rewarded with AXS.
