Wemix’s next big game ROM: Golden Age surpasses 1.2 million pre-registrations
Already well known for web3-enabled MMORPGs such as Mir4 and Night Crows, Wemade’s blockchain gaming platform Wemix is now gearing up for another big launch.
A web3-enabled version of RedLab Games’ ROM: Remember of Majesty, ROM: Golden Age is scheduled to launch globally in 170 countries in August.
And it looks like there’s an enthusiastic audience waiting for it, with over one million pre-registrations collected within the first 19 days.

One reason for the activity is the game’s Buddy Boost Lottery Event, which people activate when they pre-register through a referral link with both parties getting a lottery ticket. These are entered into a regular prize pool draw with the third round seeing 12,000 PLAY tokens and 3,000 CROM tokens up for grabs.
More generally, Wemix is also building out a wider ecosystem for the game, which will include:
- Early access to Crystal tokens, which can be bought at a discount prior to launch,
- The ability to stake CROM tokens in order to earn Crystal, and
- Access to the ability to swap between USDC.e stablecoins and CROM via a swap pool.
ROM: Remember of Majesty was released in 2024 in ten countries, published by KakaoGames, gaining a strong playerbase in South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
ROM: Golden Age is described as a “multi-platform hardcore MMORPG that combines the core gameplay and excitement of traditional MMORPGs with web3 ecosystem”.
