Night Crows’ celebrates second year with new NFT-gated metagame

Wemade is celebrating the second anniversary of its PC/mobile MMORPG Night Crows with the launch of a new event for high-value players, particularly those holding multiple in-game NFT characters on its WEMIX blockchain.

Called NFT Crusade, the core element is a 16-week-long rolling strategic battle in which players can enter with up to five NFTs. Character selection is key, with a party consisting of five different classes receiving the maximum diversity buffs.

During the event, players compete either as Lords or Mercenaries to claim a share of a prize pool. This pool is funded by a new token called RAVN. Its value comes as it’s required to purchase certain exclusive gear, which is only available during the season. Players can also get RAVN by staking Night Crow’s foundation CROW token.

As for the structure of the NFT Crusade, it’s split into four rounds, each lasting four weeks. The first season is now live, running until 29th June 2026.

The first week of each round is the Lord Selection Battle, which sees players competing via an autoplay PVP mechanic based on their party’s combat power to become Lords by taking over vacant land or fighting against those currently holding land. This activity is recorded on a leaderboard for each land, with the top three players on each land gaining Lord status. Each Lord receives at least 5% of the event’s daily RAVN rewards.

The remaining weeks of each round are Fiefdom Battles. Each Lord tries to attract the best players, labelled Mercenaries, by offering bonus rewards if they win. Mercenaries can swap between fiefdoms at any stage, but if they do, their daily and total contributions are reset to zero.

After the three weeks are complete, the fiefdom with the most wins is crowned champion. As well as gaining their share of the daily rewards pool based on their combat power and time spent playing, the winning Lords and their fiefdom’s top 100 Mercenaries also share a victory bonus. This is 10% of the NFT Crusade’s overall prize pool, although the exact split depends on the level of bonuses offered by the Lords.
