Team Secret integrates Anichess’ CHECK token in an ecosystem activation
Esports outfit Team Secret is best known for its activities in games such as Dota 2, Valorant and Rainbow Six Siege X but it’s also been testing the waters with various web3 gaming projects over the years.
And it certainly seems to like Animoca’s chess-based Anichess.
So following an initial partnership in 2024, Team Secret has joined what’s now known as the Checkmate ecosystem. This new moniker follows the launch of Anichess’ CHESS token on the Base blockchain in November 2025.
The deal will see Team Secret launching a NFT membership pass and integrating the CHECK token across its various products, including paying for merchandise from its shop, tournament entry fees, and prize pools for select community and professional‑level events.
The pass will give owners access to community tournaments, VIP ticket opportunities for global esports tours, and private Ask Me Anything sessions with Team Secret players.
As for participation in Anichess itself, Team Secret plans to host some high-profile tournaments for the game, including working with Checkmate launch ecosystem partner Chess.com.
