RavenQuest to Drop Fortune’s Frontier Launch Date at Sept. 19 Tavernlight Showcase

The launch date for Fortune’s Frontier arrives Saturday, Sept. 19, when Tavernlight Games holds its first Tavernlight Showcase, according to the studio.

Word of the date came from RavenQuest on X. “September 19th we will be hosting the Biggest Livestream Showcase we’ve ever put together!” the account wrote. Twitch carries the stream live.

Breaking its work-in-progress into a string of standalone announcements was an option the studio passed on, choosing a single event to carry all of it.

What Fortune’s Frontier is

A first look at the mode went out on March 14, pegged to RavenQuest’s one-year anniversary and an AMA. Half a year later, there is still no launch date on the record.

The mode is a seasonal PvPvE extraction experience set during an earlier chapter of the game’s history. Its anchor is the wreck of The Dawn of Fortune and the treasure strewn across the Pirate Isles.

Three islands are in play for players: Sajecho, Harbor and Gilead. Danger scales zone by zone, beginning in “Safe” territory and topping out at “Full-Drop” PvP. It’s a short loop — drop in, grab treasure, escape with it.

Newcomers and long-time players alike begin with advanced-level characters, removing the progression gap that shapes the main game. A reset lands at the end of every season. In its press materials, Tavernlight called the mode a “growth engine” with a seasonal Reward Pool paying out to the strongest performers, and framed the main RavenQuest client as the destination for players after a season wraps.

Sitting at the center of the three isles is a hub city, itself named Fortune’s Frontier and assembled from the wreck. That’s where adventurers gear up for runs, stash treasure and map out the next expedition.

Token and chain

Immutable zkEVM hosts QUEST, the premium currency within RavenQuest. It pays for monthly premium membership, cosmetics, effort potions, estate companions and silver purchases, and it also covers land upkeep, ability upgrades and marketplace trades. Mobile development is on the studio’s roadmap, alongside possible token buybacks.

Formerly known as Ravendawn Eternal, the game is free to play and runs in a browser.

What shipped before the stream

Version 1.3.2, titled New Wilds, arrived on Sept. 1. It brought 13 hunting spots and about 4,200 creatures balanced for levels 90 to 98, distributed across Ostera, Glaceforde, Elder Coast, Rohna Woods and the Frost Steppes.

Ostera took five of those locations, Direhorn Drakes and Stonelings below Tremoring Hills among them. Thormarok Mountain was unsealed. The same update switched on a server-wide blessing called Patron of the Realm.

Disconnect Protection, Google Sign-In, Player Inspection, world map improvements and balance changes rounded out the patch.

Archetypes are the basis for classes. Eight exist, and players run three simultaneously for 56 combinations, with the slots opening at levels 1, 7 and 15. Swapping archetypes is possible at any point. The Treasures Below update introduced Naturalist and Ballistics.

Ravendawn in the background

Content has been scarce for a long stretch in Ravendawn, the studio’s earlier isometric MMO. Tavernlight responded to the complaints on its Discord, saying the game is not being shut down.

The studio pointed to deployment problems, plus one more factor: the same core development team works on both titles.
