Paradise Tycoon now live on Avalanche-based Paradise Chain

Finnish developer Empires Not Vampires has launched its Paradise Chain. This is a custom L1 blockchain based on Avalanche.
Other games using Avalanche include Gunzilla’s Off The Grid on Gunz, Nexpace’s MapleStory Universe on Henesys, and Kingdom Studios’ DeFi Kingdoms on DFK chain.
Paradise Chain supports island farming sim Paradise Tycoon, which has been in development since 2022 and has clocked up over 1 million players. In the game, players build islands, trade resources, craft items and participate in a player-driven economy.
The chain has been specifically designed for Paradise Tycoon in terms of handling its required onchain actions, including p2p trading, crafting, auction house activity, quest rewards and user-generated content monetization.
The UX for Paradise Chain is streamlined thanks to Paradise Cloud, a web platform that enables users to perform non-gaming activities such as moving tokens, staking or using DeFi services.

Paradise Cloud also acts as an interface into game services such as real estate management and in-game purchases via the webstore. An AI assistant and block explorer are planned.
This model allows Paradise Tycoon to support high-frequency gameplay and nanotransactions, while maintaining real onchain ownership and economic integrity.
“Paradise Chain is the result of years of live game development, not a theoretical exercise,” said Empires Not Vampires co-founder Timo Juuti.
“We wanted real interoperability between games, real player-driven economies, and real ownership, without forcing players to think about wallets or transactions. Paradise Chain lets us build that future on top of a live, growing game.”
As well as Paradise Tycoon, Paradise Chain has been designed to support other games, with the next title planned to be Paradise Legends.
