Wemade and Razer to host YMIR Cup World Championship from 28th February

January 5th: Continuing its promotional push with Razer, Wemade has announced that the two companies will be hosting the YMIR Cup World Championship from 28th February to 1st March.

This live esports tournament will see players of the MMORPG, which runs on the WEMIX blockchain, hosted at Razer’s SEA Singapore headquarters. Of course, they will be using Razer’s esports mice, keyboards and headsets such as Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro, Razer Huntsman V3 Pro and Razer BlackShark V3 Pro.

Qualification is already underway with league matches taking place every Friday until 6th February. The champions from each division will advance to the World Championship. The World Champion will also face off with the winner of Korea’s Legend of YMIR 2nd YMIR Cup in a special Legend Match.

Wemade launches Legend of Ymir promo with Razer

2025 December 2nd: South Korean MMORPG specialist Wemade is continuing its campaign to push new combat-focused game Legend of Ymir thanks to a 60-day marketing collab with gaming hardware outfit Razer.

The main focus will be two limited-edition bundles, including in-game assets that will only be available via Razer during this period.

Each bundle will include a Disir – or fairy companion – which is inspired by the Razer Gold and Silver coin-themed motifs. Legend of Ymir points will also be on sale.

Players who purchase either the packs or points using the Razer Gold payment system, which has over 30 million accounts, will also receive a +10% bonus in Razer Gold.

As for Legend of Ymir more generally, it’s a Norse-themed combat-focused PC and mobile game built on Unreal Engine 5 in which players select from five character classes Berserker, Warlord, Skaldn (musician), Völva (mage) and Archer.

Legend of Ymir doubles down on community with new custom servers

November 20th: One of the standout elements of Wemade’s combat-centric MMORPG Legend of Ymir is the ability to run your own servers, also taking a cut of its economic activity.

Despite their relatively high price – ranging from $20,000 to $30,000 – the first ten of these opportunites sold out at public auction and so Wemade is now expanding the concept with new Mini, Lite and Origin flavors, providing more options in terms of server size, operational style and price.

In terms of level of control, server operators can manage their communities within limits, plan in-game events, and oversee their in-game economies, earning up to 15% of their server’s monthly revenue, with a minimum of $1,000 guaranteed.

Wemade says it will further drive activity into its Partner Server ecosystem through 2025 and into 2026 thanks to collaborations with global influencers, community leaders, and B2B distributors.

More specific, it’s also launching exclusive options for these servers to be able to run dedicated PVP content, which will enable direct combat between two servers. In addition, there will be the ability to launch exclusive co-op boss raids, as well as server-level features to enhance operational efficiency, reward distribution, and community influence.

Combat-oriented MMORPG Legend of Ymir goes live on WEMIX

October 28th: Following the launch of the web2 version of the game in South Korea earlier this year, the web3-enabled version of Wemade’s latest MMORPG has gone live globally.

Legend of Ymir is a Norse-themed combat-focused PC and mobile game built on Unreal Engine 5 in which players select from five character classes Berserker, Warlord, Skaldn (musician), Völva (mage) and Archer.

As with similar games — notable Night Crows — Legend of Ymir can be played in autoplay mode, but it’s specifically designed for players to take control in terms of its skill-driven combat. Other gameplay elements include magical helpers, which can be levelled up, and animals companions such as mounts and birds, which helps move you around the map. Of course, there’s also plenty of item management and crafting.

Multiple languages are supported including Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Thai, highlighting some of the game’s key audiences.

In terms of the blockchain elements, the game uses a synthetic currency called gWEMIX, which is a 1:1 version of the onchain WEMIX token.

It’s provided as a reward to players as a share of the economic activity arising from each server, and required to level up characters and items. Players can also craft and mint NFTs items, which can then be traded.

Another interesting aspect includes the ability to run custom servers, 10 of which have already been auctioned off. Owners have some level of control over what happens on their servers, including earning passive income.

Finally, in the post-launch period, Wemade is also running a bunch of giveaways including a raffle for 1 BTC.
