KT Issues 3,000 NFTs to Protect the Earth

KT announced on the 11th that it will push for the second issuance of the 'KT Minkle x Raon' NFT project, which links a non-fungible token (NFT) to the Raon character.

Raon is a pure Korean word meaning 'pleasure' and is a cat-shaped character that brings joy to everyday life. Raon is commercializing 50 kinds of intellectual property (IP)-based goods, collaborations, and licensing agreements by utilizing the worldview of eco-friendly characters pursuing sustainable management.

KT used KT Mincle, an NFT issuance and management platform, to produce NFT characters for the growth of Raon IP, and launched the KT Mincle x Raon NFT project in December of last year. KT has pursued a model in which NFT buyers participate in the project and naturally expand the services obtained from it to the public. KT has been using ESG topics for this project.

KT uses ESG such as 'value consumption' for this project. The theme of the 1st project was 'conscious consumption pursuing ESG'. The 3,000 NFTs issued at the time were sold out in one minute. In this second issue, KT will issue 3,000 'Ji.U.Ra' NFTs, which are short for 'Our Raon, who protects the earth', under the theme of 'good consumption starting with small donations'.

G.U.LA NFT buyers can receive various services from companies practicing ESG next month. KT also provides limited edition skins exclusively for Raon in cooperation with Round Lab cosmetics, a good company that promotes Dokdo, and Superwork, Korea's leading M2E (Move to Earn) project. In addition, depending on the level, it provides a selective hotel membership, a hand-embroidered bag from The Fair Story, a socially fair company, and NFTs for super work shoes.

In addition, NFT buyers can use KT Group's hotels and contents in August, 'the month to recharge with KT'. In addition, KT provides various benefits of the KT Group through weekly lottery.

G.U.RA NFTs are issued based on Polygon and support transactions from Pala, a web3 company that provides a safe and convenient trading environment with the largest scale as a Korean NFT exchange. In addition to buyers, KT also provides services to NFT holders for the growth of this project. For past 1st NFT holders, airdrop (free) and whitelist are provided in the 2nd NFT according to the number of holdings.

Along with this, KT participates in volunteer activities with project partners and owners and donates a portion of the NFT sales under the name of the KT Mincle x Raon NFT project to practice ESG and social contribution through NFT. In addition, based on the Raon community, KT plans to introduce web 3.0 target marketing for products and services of KT Group and partner companies.
